I started operating a futures strategy as a lead dealer on Binance copy buying and selling on Oct 13. Small account, about $3k. Sharing the numbers because the charge aspect stunned me, and I feel it matters for anyone copying traders right here too.

12 days thus far:

  • 146 trades
  • $1,083 trading revenue earlier than fees
  • $456 paid in charges, so 42% of it went to fees
  • $627 internet
  • worst drop 14% (Oct 16 to Oct 21), back at a brand new excessive by Oct 23

The charge part: 79% of my volume goes in as market orders, so I pay taker each time. My stops and targets are about 1% away from entry, so each round trip eats a real piece of every win.

What I hold desirous about is the copiers. So far as I perceive, they pay their very own trading fees on each copied trade, plus the profit share (mine is 10%). If their payment tier is worse than mine they usually get barely worse fills, a technique that’s nice for me may be near flat for them.

So two questions for individuals who’ve used copy buying and selling right here, both aspect:

  1. In case you copy someone, do you take a look at how typically they commerce and how shut their stops are, or principally at ROI on the leaderboard?
  2. For lead traders: did you progress to limit orders to cut fees, and did it truly help your copiers?

Completely satisfied to share extra particulars within the comments.
